Hosted by the City of Jersey City, Keep Jersey City Beautiful (KJCB) inspires and educates people to take action toward improving and beautifying their community by mobilizing volunteers to roll up their sleeves and help clean our city on a single day! In honor of Earth Day, we celebrate the Annual Great Jersey City Cleanup to encourage residents, civic organizations, community leaders, and elected officials to take greater responsibility for improving the environment they live in.
Items that will be provided:
- Gloves
- trash/ recycling bags
- Brooms, rakes, litter grabbers, etc. (limited quantity to borrow!). If you have your own, please bring them.
- Giveaways
- Light breakfast/ snacks
Remember to stay hydrated, keep cool, and wear appropriate clothing/ footwear.
Volunteers must agree to a safety liability waiver before participating in the Cleanup. Additional waivers will be available at each location.
Please take “before”, “during”, and “after” photos of the cleanup and post them to social media using the hashtags: #kjcb and #greatjccleanup
