Serve Jersey City

Mission: To increase volunteering opportunities by collaborating with individuals, non-profit organizations, and corporate businesses to participate in meaningful community engagement that helps address Jersey City’s priority concerns through data-driven initiatives.

The City of Jersey City’s Office of Community Engagement and Volunteerism is a member of Cities of Service, a supportive coalition of cities that commit to addressing local issues through impact volunteerism. Serve Jersey City is a City of Jersey City initiative that prioritizes our City’s most pressing challenges and creates volunteer initiatives to help solve those challenges.

Serve Jersey City aims to increase the visibility of local non-profits and to connect residents to meaningful volunteer opportunities that help address Jersey City’s priority concerns: Environment, Youth & Senior Services, and Food Security.
