The Rose Avenue Urban Farm has grown a lot due to the hard work of the community and we're ready to reap the fruits of our labor! On Saturday, October 21st, it is a big community service day for the farm, so we need a lot of people! We are collaborating with the McGreen Team, Plant Enthusiasts Association, Jelly's Corner, One World, One Love & International Rescue Committee with Macy's as our sponsor. Public schools in the neighborhood (such as PS20) are being invited as well to receive planting kits.
General duties include harvesting the crops, giving away planting kits, and creating plant containers with recycled material.
Gloves, farming equipment, and water will be provided. Make sure to dress with long sleeves and pants.
