· Join PFGF on Wednesday evening, July 23rd as we participate in National Moth Week.
· This free event provides an opportunity to experience the extraordinary world of moths. There are some 160,000 species of moths in the world, with nearly 11,000 in the United States.
· Check-in starts at 7:45 PM. Dr Kelly Zimmerman will share a wealth of moth and bug knowledge. There will be a demonstration of how moths are collected and studied.
· Then PFGF will set up lights and provide attendees the tools to put out bait to attract moths. Observation begins around 8:45 PM as it gets dark. The event ends at 10:00 PM.
· It will be dark when we observe the moths so, please be sure to bring a flashlight to safely move around the area.
· All children must be accompanied by an adult.
