Mission: To encourage transformation by mobilizing resource to magnify opportunities for our residents and communities.
Better Tomorrows is a nonprofit organization that provides social services and community programs to residents of affordable housing communities across the U.S., including in Jersey City, NJ. We work to empower residents through support services, educational opportunities, and programs that improve quality of life and promote self-sufficiency. We create healthy, sustainable communities today that lead to better tomorrows.
What We Do
- Social Services and Support: Case management and referral services to help individuals and families navigate challenges such as unemployment, housing instability, and health issues.
- Educational and Career Development Programs: Educational resources, job training, and career development programs to help residents build skills and achieve financial independence.
- Youth and Family Programs: Youth development programs, including after-school activities, tutoring, mentoring, and summer camps to support academic success and personal growth. Family support services include parenting classes, family counseling, and programs that strengthen family bonds.
- Health and Wellness Initiatives: Health-focused programs promote physical and mental well-being through workshops, fitness classes, health screenings, and nutrition education.
- Community Building: Events, volunteer opportunities, and leadership development initiatives to foster a strong sense of community among residents.
