The McGreen Team

We are a collective of McNair students and alumni, driven by a shared passion to make a difference in Jersey City’s sustainability and resilience amidst the growing challenges of global climate change. As a youth-led organization, we undertake various small-scale projects across Jersey City, addressing the pressing issues faced by our local community. Our primary objectives revolve around fostering environmental awareness among residents, cultivating a clean and healthy environment, and implementing strategies that fortify the city against the impacts of shifting climatic conditions.

We target environmental issues in Jersey City to keep create a cleaner space for environment. Currently, we are working on getting the Rose Ave Urban Farm open to help fight food insecurity. Additionally, we also have projects involving trash cans/recycling cans around Jersey City and maintaining them, while also teaching the public about recycling.
