Who We Are

Mission: To provide a forum for members to report, learn about, consider, take positions on and act on issues of local concern, including all of Downtown Jersey City.

The Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association (HPNA), established in 1975, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the interests and needs of residents in the Hamilton Park neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey

What We Do

Activities:

  • Community Engagement: HPNA provides a forum for members to discuss and address local concerns, fostering a sense of community among residents.
  • Advocacy: The association represents residents at city meetings, advocating for their interests and ensuring their voices are heard in local governance.
  • Neighborhood Improvement: HPNA works to promote a cleaner and safer environment by organizing events such as the Hamilton Park Farmers’ Market, Movies in the Park, and Shakespeare in the Park.
  • Park Enhancement: The association has been instrumental in upgrading local parks, including improvements to Hamilton Park and Enos Jones Park, such as enhancing the dog run, installing an adaptable toddler swing, and upgrading the basketball court surface.
